Workshops

Educators

Making In The Classroom is a collaborative effort for teachers to bring hands on, project based STEAM learning to students. We help teachers create a STEAM MAKER curriculum with lesson plans. We are currently working with the Novato Unified School District schools.

Featured Project: MyPlace

During February school break we hosted the California Film Institute’s MyPlace Digital Storytelling workshop. Student films were screened March 14th at the Smith Rafael Film Center in San Rafael.

NUSD School Success!

In February the Makerspace hosted 30 teachers from Novato Unified School District (NUSD) for professional development in the new 1 To 1 Project pairing an iPad, chromebook or surface tablet to each child.

Our goal? Expose students to STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics) via in-class Maker projects that are tailored to fit the curriculum. Our interactive, hands-on projects will help teachers expand their classrooms, encourage students to explore their own unique learning styles, and increase mastery of essential modern skills.
